     My name is Ed Quisenberry and I am a licensed massage therapist with ten years experience.  Optimal Health Therapeutic Bodywork is committed to providing you competent, caring, and professional massage and bodywork at affordable prices.  My objective is to enable people to incorporate massage and bodywork into their regular healthcare routine by providing cost competitive services with no surcharges for extra time, aromatherapy or the style of massage utilized.  In addition to these no membership or contract amenities, every fifth session is compliments of Optimal Health (within the calendar year) and there is a generous referral comp program.  People have their own physician, dentist, hair stylist - - and should have their own massage therapist.

     Therefore, I will strive to provide you competent, caring therapeutic massage and bodywork.

     Massage and bodywork is one of the oldest, most natural and least invasive forms of healthcare.  Ancient civilizations utilized massage, exercise, nutritional guidance and hydrotherapy as means to maintain good health.  It is not coincidence that the lifestyles of many today prohibit good health and promote illness and disease. 

     It is my goal to help people develop a lifestyle of healthy living.  We begin by incorporating therapeutic massage as a regular routine to one's healthcare regimen.

Let's begin with therapeutic massage

The term therapeutic refers to healing, curing and preserving health. Clinical and university studies are finding therapeutic massage is helpful in many ways, including but not limited to:

• stress reduction
• alleviating pain due to muscle spasm, stiffness and minor strains
• improving the immune functions
• providing better sleep patterns
• alleviating many types of headaches
• improving superficial blood circulation

And with proper techniques a bodywork session can also:

• improve range of motion of extremities

On your initial session of massage you will complete the necessary intake health form and receive a 10 minute verbal orientation.  Then a 60-90 massage will commence.  I recommend a full body massage to promote relaxation as well as addressing any specific areas that need concentrated therapy.  Following each treatment session clients will complete a session evaluation form.  It is my goal to remain accountable to you and seek ways to continually improve my services.
